The Holocaust Center was bursting at the seams last Sunday as we came together to hear Nick Winton share the incredible story of his father, Sir Nicholas Winton, who was a driving force behind the Kindertransport.
This tale was especially powerful for those in the audience who were descendants of children saved by the Kindertransport, as well as a Kindertransport survivor herself.

Hundreds of people arrived in Račiněves to plant Nicholas Winton’s Alley
The half-kilometer-long field road, along which volunteers planted trees today, will be connected to the tourist route.
Black mulberry stands at the head of the tree line. The sapling, which was grown from a cutting of a tree from the Wintons’ garden, was planted by Nicholas Paul Winton and his family in honor of his father and recently deceased sister Barbara.

Freedom Avenue Tree Planting under Říp Mountain
